How to work out your face shape

To start all you need is a tape measure.

Now take the following measurements of your face and write each one of them down.

1. Measure your face from the tip of your hairline to the bottom of your chin
   
2. Measure across your jaw line from the widest point to the widest point
   
3. Measure across your forehead from the widest point to the widest point
   
4. Measure across the top of your cheekbones from the widest point to the widest point

Compare your face measurements to the illustrations below to begin your face makeover.

YOU HAVE AN OVAL FACE SHAPE IF:

• Your face is slightly longer than wide (not more than a third)


• Your forehead is wider than your jawline


• Your face is widest at the cheekbones


• Your jaw line is slightly rounded or tapers to a narrow oval chin

YOU HAVE DIAMOND FACE SHAPE IF:

• Your face is slightly longer than wide (not more than a third)


• Your forehead is narrow or slightly tapered


• Your face is widest at the cheekbones


• Your jaw line is narow or long and pointed

YOU HAVE AN OBLONG FACE SHAPE IF:

• Your face is definitely longer than wide (more than a third)


• Your forehead, cheekbones and jaw line are the same width


• Your hairline is rounded


• Your jaw line is softly rounded

YOU HAVE A HEART FACE SHAPE IF:

• Your face is slightly longer than wide


• Your forehead is the widest part of your face or the same width as your cheekbones


• Your hairline may have a widows peak


• Your jaw line is long and pointed or tapers from your cheekbones

YOU HAVE AN TRIANGLE FACE SHAPE IF:

• Your face is slightly longer than wide


• Your forehead is the narrowest part of your face


• Your jaw is the widest part of your face


• Your face line tapers in from your jaw line to your forehead

YOU HAVE A SQUARE FACE SHAPE IF:

• Your face is slightly longer than wide


• Your forehead is the narrowest part of your face


• Your jaw is the widest part of your face


• Your face line tapers in from your jaw line to your forehead

YOU HAVE AN ROUND FACE SHAPE IF:

• Your face is almost as wide as it is long


• Your face is widest at your cheekbones


• Your jaw line is full and round


• Your hairline is most probably round
